For over thirty years, Phillip Donaldson has been involved in the office furniture sales and consulting field. Donaldson was born and raised in a small town in the North East United States, where he had a part-time job working in the stock room of local furniture store. After receiving his Bachelor's degree from a local college, Donaldson moved to NYC, where he was offered a job in sales. Over the years he slowly grew in sales, eventually being hired as a consultant for an office furniture company, going out and helping businesses organize and improve their offices. Over the years, Donaldson has learned a lot about offices and how different furniture can help improve an office. Donaldson is now semi-retired from the sales and consulting field, mostly working from home now as a writer for beyondtheofficedoor.com, writing helpful and informational articles related to office furniture. Donaldson will also soon begin blogging for the company, giving advice, sharing new information and experiences, as well as other furniture related topics. Phillip Donaldson still resides in the NYC area with his wife Sandra and their five year old golden retriever Buddy. He also has two children, one currently in college and the other working at a gallery in the city. When not writing, Donaldson enjoys watching history documentaries, going on walks with Sandra and Buddy, and relaxing at home with his wife.
