Allseating CPOD Chair Review

Shipping, Arrival and Assembly
Once shipped, the CPOD Chair arrived to us within 2 days via UPS Ground. The exterior of the box exhibited little damage and was still structurally strong. Upon opening the box, we were pleased to find that the majority of the chair is already assembled. The back rest, arm rests and casters come pre-installed, leaving little work for the end user. The end user simply needs to remove the packaging, place the pneumatic cylinder in the chair base, set the seat on the cylinder and you’re done! The packaging was second to none with absolutely zero scratches, scuffs or damage to the chair when it arrived.

What’s in the box?

  • The first and most important thing is the chair itself. All parts are included in the box with installation instructions. No tools are necessary as there are no screws or bolts that need to be installed by the user.
  • You will also find a small pamphlet detailing the warranty details and Warranty Response Team service instructions. Allseating is dedicated to quality and they have implemented a Warranty Response Team to ensure all customers receive a high quality product and top notch service.
  • CPOD Proper Chair Adjustments: You will receive a pamphlet detailing what position to properly adjust your chair to in order to maximize comfort and support. This pamphlet also details the instructions on how to make specific adjustments on the chair to achieve the correct position.
  • Caring for your CPOD Chair: Also included in the pamphlet are instructions on how to properly clean and maintain your new Allseating Chair. You will learn what cleaners to use and what needs to be done to keep your chair in tip top shape.

CPOD Chair Construction
The overall construction quality of the CPOD chair by Allseating is top of the line. To start, the chair has been Greenguard certified making the chair very friendly to the environment. The chair is not extremely heavy, making it easy to move around your workstation. All metal areas on the chair are covered by smooth, attractive plastic and the bottom of the chair seat is covered by vinyl making the chair very attractive. All chair functions work smoothly and easily from the seated position and the mesh back rest is soft, yet supportive.

CPOD Chair Ergonomics
The Cpod Chair definitely meets the criteria to be considered an ergonomic chair. For an in-depth description on chair ergonomics visit our ergonomic chair definition page. The CPOD has vital features that any ergonomic chair needs like: seat depth adjustment, back height adjustment, arm rest adjustment, back angle adjustment and great lumbar support. The standard T2 arms have a huge height adjustment range with 7 different height positions allowing for easy typing or tasking with the arm rests. The standard arms are also width adjustable to accommodate numerous girths. CPOD also offers an upgraded multi-dimensional arm rest kit to allow for even more adjustability. The back rest features a large height adjustment range with 6 different positions available. With such a wide range, almost any user can experience the great lumbar support the CPOD chair has to offer. The back rest also reclines and locks into any position that is desirable to you. The number 1 feature and best aspect of the Allseating CPOD Chair is the back support system. The CPOD features a one-of-a-kind band lumbar support system. The breathable mesh back rest is supported by 5 elastic bands that can be tightened or loosened based on the user’s particular body type or support desired. With each band having 15 different locking positions for various support options, the CPOD offers great lumbar support for anyone that uses the chair.

Chair Drawbacks
The only real drawback to the CPOD chair is the narrow top of the back rest compared to many other chairs. This may cause the chair to be uncomfortable for taller individuals or people with wider backs. This is because taller people or people with wider backs may be able to feel the plastic frame edging toward the top of the chair where it narrows. This may be uncomfortable after a period of time.

Overall Feeling on the CPOD by Allseating
Overall, the CPOD chair is a great option for about 85% of the population. Big and tall users should look for a different alternative due to the slight narrowing of the back rest. For users of average height/weight the CPOD will offer great lumbar support throughout the day with a nice cool back rest. The chair is great for multiple people in the office because of the quick, easy adjustability. You can also set yourself apart by selecting a custom fabric seat color to match your office and give you a modern feel.
