NANO-TEX Spill Resistant Healthcare Fabrics - Innovative nanotechnology aligns and permanently attaches fluoropolymers on the original fibers for optimum "feel" as well as high-performance stain resistance. On a scale of 1 to 5 (1 = heavy stain, 5 = no stain), Nano-Tex® Resists Spills fabrics rated 4.5 to 5.0 on all 9 test materials. These include: iodine, blood, urine, ink, hot coffee, room temperature coffee, red wine, mustard and salad oil. Includes DuraBlock™ Liquid Barrier - For even more capability, Nano-Tex® Spill Resistance Fabrics can feature a DuraBlock™ Liquid Barrier. Applied to the reverse side of the original fabric (on top of the latex backing), DuraBlock™ has exceeded 13psi water entry pressure, whereas sitting exerts only 3-5psi and cleaning exerts only 5-9psi. Thus, the fabric hinders any moisture's ability to penetrate to the cushioning.
